Acceptable Use Policy

LeadFinder is for finding and contacting businesses in a professional, relevant and lawful way. This policy is part of our Terms.

Phone calls and SMS (TRAI)

  • India’s TRAI Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations (TCCCPR) govern commercial calls and SMS. Do not make promotional calls or send promotional SMS to numbers registered on the National Customer Preference Register (DND), and check the DND status before calling.
  • Bulk or automated commercial SMS/calls must go through a registered telemarketer with a registered header and template (DLT). Do not use personal 10-digit numbers for telemarketing.
  • Call at reasonable hours, identify yourself and your business, and stop if asked.

WhatsApp

  • WhatsApp Business policy requires the person’s opt-in before you message them, and you must respect blocks and opt-out requests.
  • A WhatsApp link found on a business’s website means you may start a one-to-one conversation with that business about a relevant topic; it is not consent to marketing broadcasts or bulk messaging.
  • Never add numbers from LeadFinder to broadcast lists or automation tools without recorded opt-in.

Email

  • Send relevant, low-volume, personalised emails to business addresses. Identify yourself and your company, and include a clear way to opt out. Honour opt-outs within 10 days at most.
  • Don’t send to addresses marked Invalid, don’t buy-and-blast, and follow the laws of the recipient’s country (e.g. CAN-SPAM, GDPR/PECR).

Never

  • Use data about individuals in their personal capacity, or for profiling, harassment, stalking, debt collection, discrimination, fraud or phishing.
  • Resell, publish or share bulk exports as a dataset.
  • Re-collect or contact anyone who opted out through our opt-out form.
  • Automate the app, share accounts, or bypass limits and security controls.

Enforcement

We may warn, limit, suspend or terminate accounts that break this policy, and cooperate with lawful requests from authorities. Report abuse to us using the contact details below.
